I Blardy Hell Want to Bludgeon the Vet!

I blardy hell want to bludgeon the vet to death! How can someone in that field be so cold hearted and irresponsible. I hope that bastard goes bankrupt. I hope he will be reborn as a stray dog on the streets in the after life… and get a taste of his own medicine!

Doodle is such a poser

I named her Doodle. Doodle because she’s still a baby and she’s injured badly. She’s like a doodle; beautiful but still in sketches, incomplete. She’s a mongrel we picked up from nearby the shoplots at my housing area. Some SOAB wrapped her in a black rubbish bag and dumped her in front of the shops. She was run over by a car. Both hind legs fractured.

Stupid vet gave us 2 option. (I’m not naming him but i would happily give you the name if you personally email me with a request. Let’s called him Vet A). Put her to sleep or go for surgery to repair . We opted for surgery because he obviously did not recommend euthanasia. He just gave us an option.

Adorable Doodle

After he cut open Doodle’s legs, he told us she cannot be saved. He either has to amputate her leg or put her to sleep. We consulted another vet for a second opinion. According to the other vet, she still has a hope to walk like a normal dog. So we told Vet A to close up her wound and we would pay him but take the pup to another vet. He said ok.

Next day he told us he inserted a metal pin into the pup but it came off. Why he did that without our permission lar??!! When we came to picked her up he keep asking us to put her to sleep! We told him we will take him to another vet and he refused to release the X-ray.

She’s injured

The new vet was shocked that Vet A made 2 incisions when Doodle only needed 1. Plus he said that the legs could not be amputated because the injury is too high up touching the abdomen and the pin that Vet A inserted is not suitable for the dog.

Vet A is obviously trying to cover up his mistakes by asking us to put Doodle to sleep and refusing the X-ray! What an arse hole! He even had the guts to tell us that he has 20 years of experience and that he loved animals.

Some more said that alot of people go into this field just for money but he’s not. Fark lar! For all the mistake Vet A billed us RM700. The new vet is cleaning up after him for free ok!

Now, Doodle is recovering from the messy surgery at my home. He’ll be here for 2 weeks before the new vet do some repairing. I’m not sure she will be able to walk after the messy ordeal but there is still hope. I feel pretty responsible for making her suffer.

Who ever wants to take her in (of course after she is fully recovered) please let me know. If there is no taker then we’ll place her at the puppy farm. If there is anyone who wants to help (monetarily) you are welcome to press the “Donate” button on the bottom of this blog. Thanks.

Puppy Business

The puppy business is really bugging me… like alot.

We’ve taken step 2) b) but it’s not turning out well. The doctor called me up this afternoon to inform me that the puppy’s condition isn’t too optimistic. The X-ray reveals that both the pup’s hind legs are injured. One is pretty easy to fix with a small surgery and another is dislocated so it’s a bit complicated. That’ll cost almost RM1000 (X-ray + surgeries on both leg) but it doesn’t guarantee complete healing.

Now i’m back to step 1 which is choose euthanasia (put her to sleep) or send her in for surgery.

Some readers had brought up the issue of SPCA. The reason i did not send her straight to SPCA is because SPCA is already so full with strays and both you and me knows that the chance of the pup getting adopted after she healed is very slim. Initially i was hoping to mend her and find a good home for her.

The vet (the only vet open at that late hour yesterday) isn’t too keen on keeping her either. Actually i regret bringing her to that particular vet (i’m not going to mention which) in Kepong. It’s so expensive but the doctor and the staff are like robots. All they care is to make a few extra bucks off of you. We had to deposit RM200 just to keep her there for a night. Imagine that!

I wish i had taken a photo of the poor pup so i could share it here. She’s so pretty and pitiful. Sigh…

Dilemma

I’m in a dilemma. Here’s the situation.

1)
Let say you saw a pitiful puppy in a tiny box, in front of a shop. She’s tiny. Maybe about 1 month plus of age. One of her hind leg is swollen and bleeding. Obviously, she was run over by a vehicle. She can’t move it and is in pain. She lies there in her urine coz she can’t move away.

Even worst, you found out from the shop owner that the pup was dumped in front of her shop in a black rubbish bag. The shop owner feeds it but refuses to take her to a vet.

Nevertheless, she’s active and happy to see you. She licks you and seems to be healthy apart from her injury.

What would you have done?

a) Leave her there to suffer.
b) Take her to the vet and take her into your home.
c) Take her to the vet and leave her there but try to find her a good home.

2)
Let say you selected option c).
Now, you took her to the vet. The vet held her up and there’s blood practically oozing out from her wound. The bone was poking out from the skin.

The vet told you that the pup has a bone fracture (there is possibility of her having more than one fracture) and her wound has internal infections. But he also confirms that she is quite healthy apart from the fracture.

Her X-ray might reveal more than one fracture which means she needs to go for surgery. It’ll cost approx. RM400 per fracture (after discount coz she’s a stray).

Vet gave you an ultimatum.

a) Euthanasia (put her to sleep)
b) Go through all the process of X-ray and surgery.

What’s your decision?

.
.
.

At times, i wonder why do i always stumble upon such situations. Is god testing me whether i’m a kind hearted person? (Have i not proven it more than enough?) Or, is god trying to tell me to mind my own business?

Next time i walk, i’ll look at the clouds for directions instead of the road. I might be more successful.

Don’t Be Cruel

First of all, i would like to thank those who voiced their concerns over the doggie, especially Alan who wanted to donate RM50 every month for his maintenance. *god bless you

However, it had gone missing now. I suspect my evil-witch-aunt dragged him out while i was asleep coz i’m damn sure the doggie doesn’t know how to open the padlock. I thought i would be able to find the owner before anything happens to him. But too bad. I hope he found home… or at least some kind soul took him in…

This is the doggie that came into my house yesterday… i miss him

I’m traumatized… coz this reminded me of the last time my sisters and i took in a stray dog. Actually the dog was whining outside my gate. It was pouring cats and dogs. We had to let him in… at least till the rain stops. He was a very old dog… white sheep-like fur… almost blind from eye infection. He was limping and had nowhere to go. We fed him and let him sleep under the car. Poor dog was shivering.

He wasn’t barking or making any noise. I suspect he has spent all his energy limping under the rain. My evil-uncle took a stick and chased it out. It was still pouring. When we realized what he did, my sisters and i went on a search. We scoured all the back alleys near our house but there was no sight of him. We went home and cried.

My thought was, we could at least let him get dry and rested. Then we could have sent it to the SPCA to end his misery.

I could not and still cannot understand how anyone could be so cruel to animals… It’s ok if you cannot keep them. It’s ok if you don’t like them. But at least, don’t be inhuman and cruel… sigh…
