45th Anniversary of Public Bank

Ooohhh i’m a bit late. Just watched this yesterday and it rendered me speechless. This looks like a ready full-fledged rehearsal for National Day parade or maybe the Olympics… only in extremely bad taste LOL!

Seems like the staffs really worship Tan Sri Teh… er i mean Public Bank. But hey i don’t blame them, if i were the receiving end of huge bonuses i’ll kneel down on my knees too.

The organizers should be permanently banned from handling anymore events in the future though. Come on, cosplay and spaceship and 4WD?!! Over the top tasteless!

It’s our 5th Anniversary!

It's our 5th Anniversary!

Our anniversary falls on 11th July but lately i’ve been too angsty (bloody hell i’m even losing sleep about i don’t know what) to blog about it. Everything that could go wrong seems to go wrong at the same time. In addition we’ve been too occupied with #bersihstories more than anything else.

It’s our 5th anniversary together. Times does goes by very quickly when you are an adult huh?!

A very Happy Anniversary to us! It’s been a hell of a 5 years together.

Here’s a really blur photo of us at our favorite Japanese Restaurant in town, Coco Tei.

Ok, the photo very epic fail because 1) i was sick and bloated so i look like i’m a pale preggie woman or something and 2) my arms weren’t long enough… and shaky coz the food haven’t arrive aha!

But the food was awesome and we had a great evening there even though the boyfriend could be such an unromantic prick. I’m a whole lot of glad Coco Tei (previously Hajime) is back. Where else are we going to satisfy our Japanese food cravings?!

I prepared a post for our 5th celebration that goes something like…

1) When i found an interesting read on the newspaper, i think of you cos i know you’ll be interested too.

2) When i read saddening stories on the newspaper, i think of you cos i know you’ll feel the same yet tries to comfort me.

3) When i go groceries shopping, i think of you. I bet he’ll want some cold drinks this weekend.

4) When i taste delicious cake, i think of the time we had the most awesome Tiramisu cake from Equatorial.

5) When a motorcyclist ride pass me, i think of you warning me to be careful on the streets.

6) When i see a puppy, i think of you and remember how much you love fat puppies.

7) When i see a bottle of olive oil, i think of the time i cooked Aglio Olio and you loved it even though i think it’s yucky!

8) When i feel dreamy and stare at the bright light from the lamp post while you drive, i’m reminded of the time i cried so hard til i look like a mess because i was so relieved i resigned from the job and you were there offering me your shoulder.

9) When i look at Kobe, i think of you and think of how much Kobe loves you.

10) When i stumble upon Air Asia’s advertisement, i’m reminded of our travels.

… but i have to stop myself because i’m really having goosebumps writing these lovey dovey stuff. Uwek!

Oh yeah, when i feel grossed out for writing mushy stuffs, i think of you because i know you’ll feel the same way too!

Viva Spain, Too Bad Netherlands and a Happy Anniversary to us

Viva Spain, Too Bad Netherlands and a Happy Anniversary to us

That’s a real long title LOL.

I can’t believe that World Cup is over. Just when i was getting started to enjoy the whole celebration.

I have to admit it’s more then 11 people chasing after a ball, World Cup is about victory, defeat and the whole world coming together to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship, the cultural difference and the unity behind the game itself.

Wow, now i can’t believe i said that! But well, that’s how i come to understand the World Cup anyways.

I surprised even myself by staying up and watching the last few matches and learned a few stuff about football after all these years. I spotted offsides all by myself too. Impressive given my standard of footie knowledge before this is next to a big zero.

I’m happy that Spain won eventhough i supported Netherlands. I have a thing for underdogs and a thing for orange clogs :P. But Spain clearly played with more grace and skills (and clearly less rough judging from the amount of yellow card the orange team collected) so i guess everyone is happy except for the Dutch. Better luck next time in Brazil.

As for Paul the octopus cum oracle, i’m giving him a chance. Heck, i’m even giving his entire family tree a chance just for a while – i’m not having fried squid anytime soon i think). I heard Paul is 2 years old which is supposed to be quite old for a octopus. Don’t think we’ll see his tentacles in the next World Cup, thank god.

I digress for just a little.

The World Cup finals was on the same day as our 4th anniversary.

You know what, we don’t go all out for anniversaries or birthdays or any other occasions anymore. I think age and comfort had gotten in the way. I remember a time when we used to get gifts, plan where to dine and i would have a long blog post declaring my undying love or something in that essence. Haha.

Plain laziness. Haha.

This year we agreed to have a quiet dinner at Jarrod & Rawlins at Ampwalk.

The atmosphere was great. We had our privacy and the food? Fantastic.

“Happy Anniversary b!”

You know what? I’m even planning to get married on 11th July because that means we’ll have less dates to remember. But mostly it means in the future he’ll have one date less to remember and i’ll have one less excuse to burn him *slaps forehead*

Well it’s a little disappointing because the rest is not as cute as the Big Bird and Cookie Monster doodle on the first 2 days.

But still it’s Sesame Streets you know… i watched them in the morning as a kid even though Big Bird and Elmo annoys me like hell and when mom wasn’t watching i sang to the muppets songs. LOL.

Sesame’s Street 40th Anniversary

Sesame's Street 40th Anniversary

Oh oh! The Cookie Monster Google doodle (sounds so cute) was for Sesame’s Street 40th Anniversary which is coming on the 10th November. Each day they will have different Sesame Street’s muppets on the search page.

The first was Big Bird which i missed. So sad! I didn’t know since i’m using Google Chrome now so i don’t go to Google search anymore.
