Another Awkward Moment

Currently my lappie is turned on but i had an urge to use my new phone to blog. So i am blogging through my mobile. Yeah wtf right? The bf is so going to roll his eyes.

Just got back from dinner with the bf’s parents and sister. Her Taiwanese bf was there. Seems like a nice and friendly guy. I think my perception of Taiwanese people is rather of the track. I picture them as super metrosexual guys with smooth baby face. I blame it on the influx of Taiwanese drama series. LoL.

So anyways the dinner was short meaning it wasn’t bad. The parents was funny and i was being my retarded self. Thats how i am with strangers; my brain seems to think its the right moment to shut down. It was pretty weird with the sister though. I do not don’t like her but enough to say we are not going to be kindred spirits anytime soon. I bet she feels weird being around me too haha.

So this week is a busy week. The bf’s cousin is getting married in the weekend and naturally the big big extended family is back. I can’t wait till routine settles back in!

Oh an interesting fact about Taiwan. Did you know the 7-11 there have interstate delivery service?! Let say you cooked a puping hot pot of soup and you want to send it to your friend in another state, you can do so at 7-11. They even can keep it warm for you!

From Dinosaur Antiquity to…

Yes!! I’ve finally bought a new phone.

After years and years of procrastinating (actually not, i’m just extremely picky :P) i’ve finally chucked the battered old phone and replaced it with a new one.

But first, let me introduce you to my old friends.

The mobile phones that i’ve used in my life. Most already qualify to be displayed in the museum so  don’t laugh because i love them very, very much and they served me loyally over the years.

From left to right:

Specimen #1 – Nokia 8210
My very first phone bought during first year in diploma. I’ll hang on to it till i die i tell you because the phone memory contains lots of memorable messages from friends and exes.

Specimen #2 – Sony Ericsson T630
Bought on the first year i entered the working world. Very sayang this one but unfortunately that time i have a bad habit of bringing my phone into the shower so it went to heaven after 1 or 2 years. Also contains lots of emotional messages so i’m never going to throw it away. I might perhaps bury it with me when i die.

Specimen #3 – Nokia 1110
Wtf. Hahahahaa! Because i’m to friggin’ lazy to actually look for a phone, i resorted to using the bf’s sister’s spare phone which eventually i ended up using for almost 3 years! Wtf i’m so lazy, i’m actually going back in time.

Specimen #4 – Nokia 1600
I borrowed from my sister. Technically it belongs to my sister’s friend which she borrowed when her phone started to act up. This one i used for maybe 1 year plus. When everyone started using Android phone i’m still stuck with this LOL FML.

And now jeng, jeng, jeng!

I am a proud owner of a Samsung Galaxy S I9003 (Galaxy SL).

This one is after months of consideration because i hate getting new phones. I never can decide so to prevent me from using anymore dino years gadgets, the bf actually made the decision (and of course contributed the cash *sayang*). Finally i’m acting like a real time person using updated gadgets.

You know what after few days of ooh ahh-ing over the phone and playing non-stop with it i’m already getting bored. So what’s with people and their iPhones? I don’t get what’s so exciting about phone apps and mobile facebook or twitter. I’m already passed Angry Bird, it’s cute but no fun anymore. Ok, maybe the SoundHound apps is itsy bitsy exciting.

Why does people have their phone stuck permanently on their fingers? Come please let me in on secret of staying blissful with the phone. I might want to grow old with this one.

Ideal Body

“Oh my god! Look at my muffin top!”

“Sigh… I’ve gained so much in the last month that I feel and look like a beached whale…”

“All my clothes don’t fit me anymore. Need to buy some bigger pants.”

“I’ve joined the gym and worked out hard but I haven’t got any slimmer! It’s so frustrating!!”

Sounds familiar?

I think we lament about our weight gain all the time, don’t we? I know I do.

A holiday break means massive weight gain and making up for it with extreme measures like cutting on carbohydrates and exercising till i drop. And the guilt of sneaking in a snack in between diet is just terrible. So to spare myself the guilt trip, I exercise more and more. It’s a never ending loop.

Do you experience the same thing?

How about diet pills?

There’s so many in the market that it’s difficult to choose the best. However, recently i’ve heard of a line named Slim9. It is made from all-natural ingredients which does not harm the body. Ingredients such as dandelion root, green tea, acai berry, cayenne, ginger, ginseng, caffeine and etc are known for its medicinal and weight control properties.

What it does is promote an overall health which indirectly aid the digestive tract and boost metabolism within the body. But you might ask “can dandelion root make you lose weight?”. The answer is yes. Dandelion root is used for its cleansing and digestive properties which detoxify the body and helps the digestive system. Excess water weight and unwanted toxin are purged from the body, maintaining the health of the kidney. This thus improves the body’s ability to remove unwanted fats.

So can dandelion pills use to lose weight? Yes it can.

This green tea, dandelion too and aceberry weight loss supplement might be just the thing to keep your body looking great!

This is Black Beard.

He stays in a bungalow lot in Sitiawan, Perak and he seems to think that i’m his new girlfriend.

You know the song “Mary had a Little Lamb”? Well, he’s the lamb and he follows me where ever i go.

Don’t be fooled by his “janggut” (beard) because this fella is young and extremely active.

The bf’s grandma affectionately calls him “Ngong Ngiang” which means silly/stupid in Foochow language. Very appropriate name for this silly dog because he’s definitely as silly as they come.

:) :) :)

Stylish Glass Veranda

Stylish Glass Veranda

There’s a lovely corner house at Jalan Gasing that i have my heart set on ever since i first set eyes on it. Not only is it located at a prime location in Petaling Jaya – on top of a hill, surrounded by lush green trees; the house is very well maintained and modernly designed yet looks very cozy. The owners obviously take pride in taking care of their home.

I wish one day the owner decides to sell it because i’ll be more than glad to take over. But I know that’s a bit far fetch considering they actually do house improvement every once in a while to keep it in a tip top condition. Recently I heard they have started work on a new glass verandah at the patio. I bet it’s a very stylish one too.

You know i have always liked Glass Verandas. It looks great and at the same time, provides shade for a small gathering at the garden. And when it rains, i could actually sit at the patio to read my favorite book. Don’t you just love watching the rain thumping against glass surface? The pitter patter sound of the rain is just so calming.

Garden verandas also provide a shelter when you park your car indoors. With it the car doesn’t have to sit under the hot sun especially under the blazing hot weather in Malaysia. You don’t have to sit in your car and feel like you are sitting in an oven anymore! Plus you know what a nuisance it is when you just wash the car and it suddenly pours. Well, having a verandah meaning there’s no worries.

If you are concerned about the sun, sun awnings are the way to go. It’s perfect for outdoor activities. There’s an option to install a retractable sun awning on top of the glass verandah so it serves for both decorative and practical purposes.

I can’t wait to have a look at my dream home again. Perhaps this weekend i’ll drive through that area and have a look at their new veranda.

Pirates Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides

Ever a sucker for Johnny Depp’s movies especially the pirates series, it was a really long wait since At World’s End. Of course as a fan i feel it is my utmost duty to grab the tickets on the first day of the screening.

I brought my jacket in case it got cold in the cineplex. I was actually torn between the thicker jacket so i would be cozy throughout the movie or the thinner jacket because i am 100% sure the cineplex will be packed with people so there’ll be enough body heat to mute the air-conditioning. Everyone with the right mind loves Pirates Caribbean right?!

Anyhow, i also bought bottles of water in case i got thirsty. I went to the ladies so i won’t have to make a run in the middle of the movie. I was comfortably prepared for a 2 hour 17 mins of blissful adventure.

Yet, when the credit rolled i was puzzled.

I don’t know if i enjoyed the movie. I don’t know if i even like the movie.

But how can?!! It’s Pirates of Caribbean!!! It’s Johnny friggin’ Depp!!!!

But, but, but… uh… i don’t get the story. It’s so pointless. There were too much yapping. Believe it or not i actually think Johnny Depp has too much screen time!

There’s no actual heart-beat-stopping action and i prefer the Black Pearl more than The Queens Anne Revenge.

I find it ridiculous that the Spanish fleet actually went through all the trouble to locate the fountain of youth just to destroy it instead of claiming it as their own. Come on, it’s a bit far fetch isn’t it?

It was like a comedy more than an action/adventure movie. The scene where Penelope Cruise says she’s pregnant was ironic because she actually had a bun in the oven in real life but it wasn’t even funny.

Still it’s Pirates Caribbean and Geoffrey Rush (Captain Barbosa) never fails me and, and the mermaids were hot and it wasn’t bad just doesn’t live up to the last 3 sequel.

I’ve decided that if anyone asks me whether the movie is of any good i’ll tell them it was fantastic just because i’m a diehard fan and diehard fans remain loyal to the end.

In Need of Effective Pest Control

First she wants my dad.
Then she wants my sister.
Then she wants my house.
Then she wants my fruit skin.
Then she wants my dogs.
She wants the water i use to bath the dog.
She also wants my used cooking oil.
Now for gods sake, she even wants the water i use to rinse the rice!

For what use i don’t know. Maybe to wash her stinky, wrinkly armpit, i really don’t care.

Just get her out of my sight before i die of pent up rage!

I really wish pest control contract includes termination of “annoying, dry, old, wrinkly spinsters” in the clause!!

TERMINATE!!!!!
