Paypal and Al Rajhi Debit Card

I’m such a late boomer at these $ making from blogging, PayPal accounts and debit cards. The idea of making $ thrills me but the process of actually getting the moolah out really petrifies me. Actually anything dealing with banks… i hate *mah mah fan fan.

However, after finally earning a little i’ve decided to try withdrawing from PayPal *i’m not telling you how much is in my account so don’t ask :P. Since i’ve read quite a lot of negative comments on Public’s Electron Debit Card, i opted for Al Rajhi’s Debit Card instead. True to what i read, the service was darn fast.

I got myself to the Kota Damansara branch, there were no customer at all except for BlurryHunniee and i. Depositing RM200 each, we both opened our savings accounts and got our debit cards in just 10 minutes! *we took out the RM200 from the account immediately wakakaka! Just bring your I/C along for processing. Also be sure to activate the Internet Pin within 3 days, coz it’ll expire after that. If that happens like what happened to moronic me, you’ll need to go all the way to Al Rajhi‘s ATM to get a new pin.

BlurryHunniee had problem while adding the new card into her PayPal. This error message was on the screen:-

“We were unable to verify this credit card. Please check if the information you entered is correct. If the problem persists, please try to enter a different credit card.”

She’s still studying and do not have a credit card. Apparently, you need to add a credit card and have it verified under the Expended Use program before adding this second debit card. So too bad. I guess she’ll have to wait till she gets a credit card then.

As for me, i already had my credit card added last month. I tried to add this debit card into my PayPal account but encountered this error:

“This credit card has been denied by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer’s customer service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card.”

Don’t panic. It turned out that PayPal will automatically charge RM1 from the debit card accoun. Since my account have a zero balance i need to transfer money into the account before PayPal could process the debit card. I had it done and my card had been verified successfully.

I’m still considering cashing out my earnings from PayPal. The USD exchange rates are so darn low. From 3.6 a few months ago to 3.1 now. That’s few hundred down the drain.

The next morning, we woke up… err… at least i woke up before dawn. I open the bedroom windows. It was dark and calm outside. Ahh… my so called life at sea.

We had breakfast and headed to our next destination… Hang Sung Sot.

Hang Sung Sot meaning “Caves of the Surprises” has many surprises awaiting us.

The cave was quite high up. There are steps leading towards it.

The small hike was definitely worth it. The view from up there is spectacular.

Sung Sot cave has 2 chambers. The chambers are lighted up with colorful dramatic lights. The stalagmites and stalactites carved a breathtaking scene in the cave.

The state of the cave was impressive. They did a great job maintaining it. There were man-made pathway for tourist. The more popular features in the cave are showcased to visitors with effective lightings. Small penguin shaped bins are everywhere so i guess littering is a no-no.

Just look at the ceiling. Looks like an egg container LOL. Cool huh?

Observing the chambers i can’t help but get the feeling that the chamber is slowly engulfing me.

Within the cave, there are rock formations in the form of animals. The tortoise shaped rock was the most popular. It is said that a person’s longevity will be extended by touching the tortoise’s head. Naturally, believer or not i touched it *waka
ka. So did most of the visitor. It works better if you throw in some $$$ :P.

Then there was the crocodile shaped formation. Amazing huh?

Being our last day on the bay, we asked the staff for one last drink of coffee (they have great coffee on the junk). I am going to miss their coffee the most *wakaka!

Almighty Giant

I was in Ikano last weekend and guess what who stumbled upon?

Her!!! OMG!!!

Petster the new pet magazine got together PAWS, SPCA and WWF to hold their launching at Ikano. This mighty giant was sitting next to the table selling Blackwood products (Blackwood is a brand for dog food if you don’t know)!

The head is so big… it’s double mine… or triple…

I so love German Shepards and this giant is so good looking. She’s 5 years old and very tame. Too bad she ain’t for sale. I won’t sell her too if i’m her owner LOL.

Interview with Dr.M in the Election Aftermath

The Malaysian election has ended and what a night it was. In a way this time election was very dramatic with speculated surprises. BN was going to lose some.

My family stayed till 3pm watching the news for the results. I think, so did everyone else. It was even bigger than the Premier League. Everyone was waiting for Sungai Siput‘s result. Mr. Samy Blue is our favorite villain. He is everybody’s favorite isn’t he?… uhm… besides that Pak Zam that is *muahaha! I for one was busy checking Malaysiakini‘s website for updates up until it was not accessible (was it really blocked??).

Despite staying up for the results, we woke up early for dim sum the next morning. TeddyMommy was in a mood to celebrate. The place was packed with people especially families. Uncle and aunties was discussing excitedly about the results. I’m glad I did my part by voting for the first time. I’m glad that I made my choice.

The result was shocking even to me who had expected the worst for BN. It was history in the making. Vote counts recorded a massive swing never seen since 1969. BN was dealt with the worst blow ever, losing its crucial 2/3 majority and an unprecendented 5 states. They lost Penang, Kedah, Perak, Kelantan and i can’t believe they even lost Selangor. Both Malay and non-Malay had made their stance which clearly reflected on an “enough-is-enough” attitude. Mr. Samy Blue finally kena bungkus. *woo hoo! Happy Birthday Mr. Blue! So did the goblok stuttering Pak Zam. *Pak Zam kena wrapped! Malaysians are ready for a new era.

Even more entertaining is the interview with Tun Dr. Mahathir at Malaysiakini today.

He won or lost? Oh, he lost. Well, the way he was campaigning was really funny, telling people to look at his face and how it doesn’t change. But I think that a face that doesn’t change can be very boring. Sometimes you must laugh, sometimes you must cry.

He was telling everybody “Ini muka tak bertukar, tak bertukar”. Who is interested in his ‘wajar’? If he was Britney Spears, then….

If the Malays had not voted for opposition this would not have happened. Why did the Umno supporters vote for opposition this time?

They feel their situation is under pressure. Inflation is high. Their lives are on the line. The people know that you can say that there is 6 percent growth but where is the 6 percent on their body? They are having to spend more money.

I’ve said this to Malaysiakini. When you say 6 percent, it is an average. This can be achieved by one person having a very high percentage but the rest have nothing. You can’t have this sort of figures and expect people to vote for you.

The intelligent people would know that this is not correct. Those that don’t understand all these figures, rather be guided by what is actually happening to them. What is happening to them is the higher cost of living and a lowering of their standard of living.

Woke up feeling excited today. Its my first time voting for the election. On my way to the voting center with MommyTeddy, she complained to me how ignorant some of the aunties and uncles could be.

MommyTeddy: Ei, you went to vote liao??

MommyTeddy: How can! Must vote and do our part ma!
IgnorantNeighbour: No eye see la. Don’t care who win la. We old liao so nevermind la. Not our business also.
