Shopping with Mom

2 Dec 2009 In: Shopping and Goodies

Sis is on a 2 weeks leave from work so yippiee. This means we could take a break for shopping. It’s the festive season after all and the clothes they have on display during CNY is really hideous so it’ll be smart to shop early.

Unfortunately mom had it all planned out. Woke us up so early in the morning, i half knocked myself out on the bedroom door. She insisted that we help her get YTL vouchers from the annual shareholder meeting again. So well alright, we were free and the vouchers are worth losing our few minutes of extra sleep.

After elbowing all the old people in the hotel ballroom we got out with 1k worth of dining vouchers. Nice work, pat our back.

Mom said i look good in the Forever 21 hat, so i insisted she tried it on and we took a pic :)

We head on to Pavilion after that.

It’s been a while since we went shopping with mom. I can’t remember the last time i went shopping with her. I think it was before i got into college when i start buying my own clothes and hang out with my friends then after that i started to work meaning even less shopping time with mom.

I kind of miss picking out clothes with mom… even though she disagree with half of my selections. LOL.

That’s me hugging my mom :))

I find it rather amusing that my sis and mom kept disagreeing on the skirt or top in the shop. Sis was really frustrated and fuming. Kind of reminds me of me when i was young.

Someday sis will understand. Mom is just opinionated and “kan cheong”. It comes with age. So be patient.

It was fun (well for me anyways).

Look here’s my mom’s attempt to take a picture of sis and i. Fail! LOL.

Sunny Day

25 Nov 2009 In: Birthday and Anniversaries

It’s been raining for the past few weeks. It was cold and damp, i don’t remember days in the past where it rained so much, non-stop 24 hours a day. Don’t you miss the warmth of the sun? I do. Kobe too. She’s been missing her daily walks in the park.

Mr.Sunshine is up and blazing today. :)

But now, i’m worried the weather will get too hot with the new year coming.

We are never satisfied aren’t we? :S

By the way i’ve been to see the dermatologist yesterday and it’s good news. I think my skin is getting better now. Cross my fingers. Now to tackle the flab…. i shall take up swimming again…

Some photos taken on the weekends during Pipu’s Birthday at Ho Bahn.

The group photo.

Life Anatomy

20 Nov 2009 In: Random Blabber

I’m blogging less and less because i’m using every second of my free time clicking on the pause and play button of the VLC media player. I’m really so addicted to Grey’s Anatomy (GA) right now. I even dreamed of it.

Ok, now i’m sound like a crazy woman, even i am afraid of me.

Applaud to me cause i’m now at season five going to season 6. I already know the whole story, even the ending of season 6 (because i’m a freak to wiki all the episodes) but i’m planning to watch repeatedly the whole series once i’m done with season 6.

Yes, i am gile like that. And because i really relate to all the characters in the drama. It’s a wonder how much truth to the meaning of life is portrayed and narrated in GA, those you couldn’t figure out or chose to block out.

Shoppers Alert

18 Nov 2009 In: Moolah Reviews, Shopping and Goodies

This is wonderful news to shopaholics everywhere. There’s a new haunt in town!

Well, not so much of a physical place to shop but an online shop where you can purchase almost everything you need nevertheless.

ShopWiki lets you shop in the comfort of your own home. It’s a revolutionary experience because ShopWiki acts similar to Google search where it crawls every store on the internet to bring to you the latest and most fabulous products. There’s no hidden fee for the search and there’s no hidden fees for any purchase. ShopWiki lets you visit every store available online regardless of the merchants and brands. It’s the most comprehensive shopping site available.

Just the other day i saw these couple playing Frisbee with their adorable retriever and i wanted to get one for my dog. I searched high and low for a shop that sells Frisbee for dogs but couldn’t find one. But guess what? I found it on ShopWiki. There are normal Frisbees on sale for children and adults to play too. I am seriously considering getting one. It’ll be good exercise.

You’ll be surprise at the many variety of sports products that’s available on ShopWiki. There are stuff for adults such as golf and tennis equipments and for kids there are basketball essentials, snowboards and even inline skates. It’s like heaven for sports fanatics. The list goes on and on and let me remind you that’s only for sports. Imagine what more is available via ShopWiki.

Time to shop!

Sin City

What do you think of the idea of getting married just to have sex?

It’s crazy right? But i know lots of people who did that. The marriage ended up in divorce within months but they knew that would happen and didn’t care. They just want to “do it” so they tied the knot.

I think it’s really wrong. Not so much that they are actually insulting the idea of marriage but because of their beliefs and thinking. To them it’s legal, it’s acceptable and religion wise it’s not wrong.

They think it’s sinful to commit sex before marriage because religion forbids it but they think it’s ok to get married not for love but just for sex. Why? Because religion says it’s ok to do sex after marriage.

Kids nowadays have the guts to run to Thailand to get married so they can have sex legally without being caught by JAWI and most important, because “doing it” without getting married will piss the lord. I’m stunned.

Which is worst? Get married to have sex then get a divorce after a few months or accidentally impregnate someone then get married because it doesn’t hurt to get free sex then get divorce after a few months? Speechless.

Weekends

16 Nov 2009 In: Random Blabber

My weekends have just reached a new high in the boring scale. It’s spent either lazying around in the house watching reruns of Grey’s Anatomy, playing computer games or grocery shopping. In fact, this the third week that we spent the whole weekend shopping for things we think we need.

I can practically tell you where to get a bargain for most of your house hold stuff. I’ve visited so many Watson and Guardian stores i can tell you which store have a cheaper product of the same brand.

By the way, Guardian have the 2+1 Dr. Mist pack for just RM19.90. Great for the armpit. Aha. And oh, Tresemme is giving free St.Ives product for every purchase of Tresemee shampoo… which is not as good bargain as the Buy One Free One full size Tresemme shampoo i managed to grab before this. Well, the promotion ended anyways so St. Ives is not bad.

Downright pathetic.

What do people and couples do on the weekends anyways? I really want to know. Share with me please.

Longer Lash

13 Nov 2009 In: Fashion and Beauty

I never got around to post about the lash extension thingy i tried out ages ago so today i’m going to do a review.

You know i have really short eyelashes. It’s like really short, almost unnoticeable even with mascara type of short? Well, i’m told most Chinese have short lashes so people calls it the “Chinese lashes”… or at least that’s what my ex-colleagues used to tell me.

Yes, it’s very sad because it’s so short that using the eyelash curler is useless since my lash is too short to curl anyways. So, each time after applying mascara i will attempt to curl it which result to nothing. And each time by the end of the day, the mascara would have stained the area around my eyes making me look like a panda or something.

Why? Because my lashes which is coated with thick black mascara and is too short to be curled, points downwards therefore touching the lower region of the eye making it all black. Yes, it’s very sad and i swore off mascara for a while after that.

Do you have the same experience?

Well, i’m happy to say that’s the story of my past. I have longer lashes now. Thank god!

I read about the Face Shop’s Eyelash and Eyebrow Nutrition Liquid from a forum and there were mix reviews. Some says it works and some says it doesn’t. It’s pretty normal because every product have mix reviews coz it doesn’t work on everyone. You think miracle meh??!

I went and bought it. It’s only RM19.90.

The description from the website doesn’t says anything about lash growth, instead it says “Keratin and botanical proteins and extracts penetrates the skin to nourish lashes → Keeps lashes healthy and radiant Apply over lashes before going to bed”. But the staff claims otherwise.

faceshop-lash-liquid

So i very rajin applied it in the morning before the coat of mascara and night before going to bed. It kind of sux because the liquid really stings the eyes.

After 2 weeks i saw results. My lashes were longer! Well… not as long as i would have liked it but it was definitely longer. The lower lashes was the most obvious.

Look, this is the before and after photos.

Before.

before lash gel

After

after lash gel

The product stopped working after 2 weeks, the growth was stagnant by then and my lashes got a little thinner but that’s ok. I could put on mascara and curl it a little and not stained the skin beneath the eye now.

Ok, i stress i suka-suka post this and it’s not an advertorial because no one would ppay me to write anything. Sad haha.
