Yes! Finally and successfully booked tickets to Yogyakarta. Will be travelling to see Borobudur and Prambanan temple on the 6th May – 9th May next year. Another UNESCO World Heritage crossed off the list!
Technically it’s a 3 days 4N trip because Air Asia flight schedule sucks – the flight time is always on odd, odd ungodly hours so we will be departing at 7am (means have to be in airport by 5am!) and the return flight will be at 12pm (means wasting money to spend another night at the hotel).
Very frustrated with Air Asia too, not because the system moves like a hibernating sloth but there are so many extra charges that they kind of sneak in when you purchase the tickets.
First there was the baggage fees which is automatically charged to your bill unless you un-tick the box. Most of the time i miss this part then when i noticed the additional fees i have to go back to the first page and amend it (this is when the system always fail so i have to restart all over again). Then there was the “select seats” option which is also defaulted and the fees charged to you so you have to “remove” the seats which is a rather confusing process.
I was careful to keep our budget to the minimal but alas i miss out on the “convenience fees” which is charged when you use credit card or debit card. FML the wordings were so small i didn’t notice. I was charged RM32!
It’s atrocious that customer are charge such a hefty price for the use of their card. It’s only one card transaction but they obviously failed in math but major in profit. They charge you per journey (means x2 for a two way trip) and per customer (means if you have two person travelling it’s x2 again)!
Note to myself: Pay by money transfer next time!
But i got my tickets for RM10 per pax only exclude tax and admin fees. Total came up to around RM250 for 2 person so what the hell lar.
Btw, i’m thinking of a trip to either Cameron or Cherating in October this year. Life is so mundane right now.
