Yes! Finally and successfully booked tickets to Yogyakarta. Will be travelling to see Borobudur and Prambanan temple on the 6th May – 9th May next year. Another UNESCO World Heritage crossed off the list!

Technically it’s a 3 days 4N trip because Air Asia flight schedule sucks – the flight time is always on odd, odd ungodly hours so we will be departing at 7am (means have to be in airport by 5am!) and the return flight will be at 12pm (means wasting money to spend another night at the hotel).

Very frustrated with Air Asia too, not because the system moves like a hibernating sloth but there are so many extra charges that they kind of sneak in when you purchase the tickets.

First there was the baggage fees which is automatically charged to your bill unless you un-tick the box. Most of the time i miss this part then when i noticed the additional fees i have to go back to the first page and amend it (this is when the system always fail so i have to restart all over again). Then there was the “select seats” option which is also defaulted and the fees charged to you so you have to “remove” the seats which is a rather confusing process.

I was careful to keep our budget to the minimal but alas i miss out on the “convenience fees” which is charged when you use credit card or debit card. FML the wordings were so small i didn’t notice. I was charged RM32!

It’s atrocious that customer are charge such a hefty price for the use of their card. It’s only one card transaction but they obviously failed in math but major in profit. They charge you per journey (means x2 for a two way trip) and per customer (means if you have two person travelling it’s x2 again)!

Note to myself: Pay by money transfer next time!

But i got my tickets for RM10 per pax only exclude tax and admin fees. Total came up to around RM250 for 2 person so what the hell lar.

Btw, i’m thinking of a trip to either Cameron or Cherating in October this year. Life is so mundane right now.

I’m stuck here since 30mins ago and i’m still waiting.

And when i finally get through to the booking page, there’s a system error. Yeah FML.

Once a month i get this panic attack because it’s time to trim my ever messy mane. Don’t you just dread going to the hair salon??

Hmm… i find it a waste of time – i could do lots (like sleeping) with 2 whole hours spent in the salon of doing nothing. Every time i sit on the salon chair, i always get this paranoid feeling that my bum keeps growing and keeps getting bigger by the minute. Serious. It might just be my imagination but i feel uncomfortable like that. And on bad days, the chatty brat washing my hair sounds more annoying than usual. Sometimes i do wish i had brought the fly swatter.

But on some rare occasion (like today) it felt like i’m a celebrity for a day. It’s not always that people gives you their utmost attention, smile at you like you’re something special (even though perhaps it’s because you are earning them some $$$) and even serve you drinks.

It felt oh so good to get my head and shoulder massaged; given that the ah lian with super long finer nails is no longer around so my scalp wasn’t treated as a cat scratching post substitute for a change. And they use this minty hair care that gives me the Zen feel. I likey.

On luckier days like today, my hair get blow dried to silkiness by 2 men – the shampoo boy and my favorite handsome hairstylist in an unflattering black vest. The hairstylist cut my hair slowly but surely because there’s no other customer. I even get to read my travel book without interruption.

But the owner of the vest is point-blank refusing to cut my hair short. Apparently, i’m a boring person and he is getting bored with my short hairstyle. Yes, HE is getting bored of MY hairstyle. So, he purposely left it a bit longer should i change my mind to let my hair grow long. I tell you his attempt is futile because this is like the hundredth times he tried to get my hairstyle changed but i still swear by short hair.

I should tell him i’m getting bored with his vests.

Fancy a trip to Europe? Italy? Spain? Greece? Croatia?

Count me in!

I would really love to go to Venice, to the City of Canals before it decay and sinks. I know I know it’s the influx of over-crowded tourist that contributes to the slow but sure decay but it’s one of the most beautiful holiday destinations, not to mention an utterly romantic one at that. You can’t blame the tourists really.

Floating pass the unique city, sitting on lush Persian rug of the gondola and sipping red wine, surrounded by grand buildings and just practicing “Dolce Ferniente”; the art of doing nothing is just plain pleasure. That is the ultimate holiday for me. It’s like a scene from a romance novel!

Speaking of Venice, I found the perfect place to stay. It’s a charming apartment in Venice, Giudecca, Veneto. It’s a spacious but very cozy and has a very Venetian flair about it; high-ceiling, wood boards, marble floor and complete Italian designed furniture which is modern yet classic. It even has its own direct lagoon access and a boat terrace where the view is magnificent. The small courtyard full of climbing plants is like a dream. Like I said, it’s very, very charming. Italian villas are just so amazing!

Croatia is also another holiday destination that attracts me. Check out the amazing landscape!

That’s the Plitvice Lakes National Park in Lika, Croatia. Beautiful isn’t it?

And here’s typical landscape in Hrvatsko Zagorje also in Croatia.

So peaceful. Kind of wish I was there now.

It’s also home to medieval architecture like Old City of Duvbronik, Historic City of Trogir and Historical Complex of Split with the Palace of Diocletian. All of them are one of the many sites in Croatia that is declared under World Heritage sites.

The holiday rentals in Croatia look superb too. The picturesque Villa Mir Vami in Sumartin, Brac Island, Dalmatian Coast, Croatia caught my eyes.  The traditional Dalmatian stone house exudes quality lifestyle and comfort. Complete with its own pool and garden, it’s perfect for group holidays or family holidays. The dining room and living room is spacious and I’m just speechless about the outdoors sea view. It’s like living in an island of your own.

Most of the villas in Croatia are exquisite and huge (like luxury bungalows from where I come from) but it is best to find the most suitable ones according to your own preference. There are many holiday rentals agencies that is available. Look for the best offer.

I find it extremely ironic that the ones most excited about Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding are the unmarried cat ladies.

“Oh my! It’s the wedding! It’s the wedding!”

But it’s not yours m’aam…

Work Life

Some people look for job satisfaction; nothing gives them more pleasure than their job well done.

Some crave for acknowledgement, appreciation for their hard work and effort.

Others desire fame the most, dedicating their entire work life to build a reputation.

A few wants to climb the leader in search for the quickest route to the top of the pack.

Most just looks at it as a way to earn more $$$.

And mind boggling enough a number of us strives for comfortability, always pleasing everyone and nothing will ply them away from their comfortable, friendly working environment.

What do you look for in your work life?

Since Kobe came into my life i’ve become such a cry baby Mother Theresa and at the same time a sadistic RAGE machine. Serious.

I see stray dogs wondering the streets, i want to cry and i so, so want to take them all home. I see an abandoned and injured animal, i want to nurse it back to health and find it a home. I see a turd head treating his pet like shit (forgive my RAGE mode language), i so want to stick pins in the bastard’s eyeball, disembowel him and leave him to DIE a dozen horrible deaths. May he rot in hell.

I just realized that the boyfriend and i had become an animal rescue team of some sort. We rescued about half a dozen dogs already and just last weekend we even managed to rescue a tortoise. Some asshole drove all the way to Desa ParkCity, stopped his car and left his pet tortoise on the roadside.

OMFG what a dick head. These people have no conscience.

Don’t these people realize that animals have feelings too. They should be sent to prison for committing such atrocity and made to watch Hachiko repeatedly until it gets through their thick little skull how loyal pets could be.

Sigh…

Speaking of Hachiko, omg it’s like the saddest movie i’ve ever watched. I don’t remember any movie that made me i cry so terribly. It’s just so, so sad and by the end of the movie my eyes were all puffy, my nose stuck, my face wet with tears and i was sobbing uncontrollably. Worst, when i look next to me wanting the boyfriend to comfort me, i saw another red sobbing face staring back at me. He was crying even worse than me. Ah, FML.

And today dad was watching the same DVD at home. I went into the room because i didn’t want to watch it a second time. Yet, i could hear the background music and i was in tears. I’m so traumatized.

Is there such things as OverAffectionateTowardsAnimalDisorder? I’ll be the president.
