Unlimited Net10 Plan

This post brought to you by Net10. All opinions are 100% mine.

There is a continuous debate about which telco provides the best service that is worth the money.  Everyone have their preference and different needs hence different users may prefer a different call plans but one thing for sure is that users want a dependable line with good reception that is within their budget.

If you are currently searching for a new telco service, have a look at Net10 Unlimited. The plan provides nationwide coverage and unlimited talk time, text/picture messaging and data inclusive of 411 calls for only $50 per month. Real NET10 customer also does not have to be tied up by contracts, there is no credit checks and no additional fees or surprise bills. That’s really a super bargain.

For such an affordable price, the connectivity and reception is great. It’s a sure win for personal users like me who likes to chat and text message all the time. But what is even more impressive is the Long Distance service that covers over 75 countries for about 15 cents per minute on calls originated from US. International Neighbors program is currently available to Canada and Mexico which let users have a unique number that friends and family could connect to. Say goodbye to ridiculous high bills! Parents could save a bundle when calling their kids overseas.

Net10 understands that users wants a flexible plan to suit their fast paced lifestyle so they even let users switch between plans each month without incurring penalties. Say, users could easily switched from the monthly plan to their Easy Minutes Plan that starts at $15.00 for 200 minutes or the Pay-As-You-Go plans which lets users bring forward their active service. Airtime top-up online, at nearby store or from user’s phone. Definitely a suitable plan for business users because it is not just flexible and affordable but also convenient. Here, listen to What Rob has to say.

The phone selection of trusted manufacturers like LG, Motorola, Samsung and etc comes at an affordable price where the basic phones cost just under $15.00. Phones with more features such as camera and blue tooth comes under $40.00 while phone with more fancy capabilities such as touch screen and full QWERTY keyboards are under $60.00.

Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs

It’s funny how a person could be even more famous and appreciated after they have passed on. Odd but that’s how the world works. I’ve read more than my share of articles in these 2 days and now know more about Steve Job than i had before.

I’m not an Apple user, never own an Apple in my life because i’m always the one wanting to be different so i wouldn’t be caught dead owning an iPhone or iPad. That doesn’t mean i’m not tempted by the sleek designs and the works, oh yes, i’ve always secretly wanted one.

So here’s to Steve Jobs who tantalized and tempted the people worldwide. May you R.I.P.

Oh, and i’m really glad for Pixar. That i’m a fan.

Hiatus

Hiatus

Ah… what is it with year-ends that makes one procrastinate and so very sluggish? I’ve been sauntering around doing nothing but day-dreaming and abusing my brain with NCIS re-runs, in between spacing out and staring into space. Someone please smack the back of my head before my brain decides to shut down due to lack of activity.

Sigh… so many stuff piled up on my to-do-list, i think i’m going to regurgitate. I need to process my IN tray and earn some extra moolah again since i’m really no good at investments.

Ever since we’ve started discussing about investments (stocks, bonds, mortgage, commodity…) and we’ve actually invested on a really small amount on gold, i’ve been obsessed with the world’s market. The good thing is i’m trying to keep abreast of what’s happening out there especially keeping an eye on the business news. The jargons are killing me by the way. The bad thing is my aging brain no longer could digest new stuffs fast enough so there are lots of things in the finance world that leaves me scratching my head and i’m really not good in predicting the trends.

Speaking of finances, ours are on a rocky patch. My online baby shop is a flop so to speak. It’s really difficult when you don’t have enough capital to start things off and with zero knowledge the feasibility is next to zero. No matter how i look at it, it’s a loss cause; wholesale prices and shipping to high, profit margin too low, market overly competitive. Project is put on pause for the moment while i decide on some products that might work.

The boyfriend is in stress zone because of work. The company is going to be taken over by another hence there is no telling what might happen. Hopefully he will be secured and the change is going to be a positive one.

So now i loiter around the house with glazed eyes and wait for Christmas to arrive.

Congratulations to Bryann & Ailene!

Congratulations to Bryann & Ailene!

Went all the way to Klang last night to attend a friend’s wedding. I’ve known her since college years and am really happy that she found her perfect gentleman. To the lovely couple, “Congratulations and may you guys have a blessed and loving life together!”

Taken  at her R.O.M.

Taken during the wedding reception in Klang.

Regrettably we didn’t snap much photo with our cameras but Ai Leng looked stunningly gorgeous especially in the cheongsam styled gown. Envy!

Little Baldy Nephew

Little Baldy Nephew

Dear baby munchkin had his hair shaved already. Rahul looks really good bald, don’t you think?

Before.

After.

It’s a Chinese tradition as well as Indian to shave the baby’s head on or after the full moon. For the Chinese it signifies the shedding of birth hair (hair from the womb). The hair is then wrapped in a piece of red cloth and then sewed on the pillow to calm the baby. The later is rarely practiced today, although most baby still have their baby shaved because it’s common believe that the hair will grow more healthy and luscious after that.

Hindu tradition on the other hand dictates that shaving of the hair (during Mundana) signifies freedom from the undesirable past and moving into the bright future as well as stimulates proper growth of the brain and nerves.

Does the Malays and Western culture have such beliefs?

45th Anniversary of Public Bank

Ooohhh i’m a bit late. Just watched this yesterday and it rendered me speechless. This looks like a ready full-fledged rehearsal for National Day parade or maybe the Olympics… only in extremely bad taste LOL!

Seems like the staffs really worship Tan Sri Teh… er i mean Public Bank. But hey i don’t blame them, if i were the receiving end of huge bonuses i’ll kneel down on my knees too.

The organizers should be permanently banned from handling anymore events in the future though. Come on, cosplay and spaceship and 4WD?!! Over the top tasteless!

Martial Arts, Cowboys and Aliens

Martial Arts, Cowboys and Aliens

Two strange movies on a weekend. Horrid? Not really. Super? Definitely not. Average? Sometimes. Enjoyable? Can’t make up my mind.

First it was Wu Xia, another showcase of Donny Yen’s brilliant kung fu kicks and punches. He would never win any award for his acting but martial arts is his forte and he kick ass at it alright

Wu Xia is not the usual action packed kung fu movies. In fact it’s a bit slow paced and at times long winded. Takeshi Kaneshiro plays a detective in the movie and he almost stole the show with his comedic timing. He got most of the dialogue anyways. Reminds me of an olden times Chinese Sherlock Holmes, even the flashback slow motion fighting scenes have the essence of scenes from the Sherlock Holmes movie.

I’m left wondering how it is possible that his command of Cantonese language have not improved after a decade in the industry.

Donny Yen is Donny Yen. Marvelous fluid kung fu, poor villains beaten up like sandbags. But there’s more talk than action in this movie so it’s kind of a bore.

The pace caught up towards the ending – more fighting scenes. Yay!

The background music during the kung fu scenes is almost comical but cool. Erm, how do you actually describe it? Like background music for Spiderman or other superhero movies.

The ending was a tad anti-climax though. If you’ve watch this movie you would know what i mean. Zap! And the huge man with superhuman strength and power went down. Tsk tsk tsk.

The next day against all odds, we bought tickets for Cowboys & Aliens (CA).

Have i mentioned how wonderful it is going to the cinema on the fasting month? Yes, it feels great that you could choose whatever movie you desire and there’s no queuing and no blinking red SOLD OUT sign above the ticket counter. Bliss.

I guess it’s not a very good idea watching this movie. After all, i’ve not hear a positive comment about it. Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford is a strange combo plus i have lost hope in Harrison Ford ever since the last Indiana Jones movies (Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) premiered three years back. If there’s any other sign that this movie is not going to win any awards it’s Steven Spielberg’s involvement in it – his near criminal obsession over aliens and all.

Probably should have heed the warnings and save ourselves the RM22. Could have bought us a few dozens of Ikea curry puffs instead.

But being a fan of Western cowboy movies (ok i’m super tomboy) plus a crazy fan of Indiana Jones movies (before the aliens took over on the Kingdom of Crystal Skulls that is) and Daniel Craig is always on my hottie list, we sat through the show.

If nothing else, Craig’s sexy butt beckons.

See?

Super tight, tight omg cowboy pants y’all!

The backdrop of CA is impressive, that’s if you love dust, canyons, saloons and every element in cowboy movies. Yes, i likey. Plot wise it leaned towards being ridiculous, not for the alien invading earth to remove every evident of gold on earth but for Jack Lonergan (Craig) to actually get possession of the metal-bracelet-cum-super-power-weapon-thingy from the evil aliens is really far fetch. How could the alien be naive enough to remove the weapon from their… uh arm? tentacles?… and place it conveniently next to the human’s easy reach. Well what did i expect from a movie with cowboys and aliens in a mix…

I was bored from the start, the middle and towards the ending i was still bored. The aliens wasn’t scary enough even though the person sitting next to us was screaming atrociously, Ford wasn’t convincing enough, Sam Rockwell (plays Doc in CA) really annoys me whichever movie he is in, Olivia Wilde is hot in a weird kind of way but it kind of gave me the feeling that she’s in the movie just for the sake of having a female in the set. I like the dog though, very cute.

Oh, Daniel Craig is very cute too. Almost made up for all the yawns.
