26th of July 2011 marks a very memorable and important day. It’s on this day that the cutey baby Rahul is born; my parents first grandkid, the first male in the family and my first time being a ‘ah yi’ – ‘sam yi’ actually.

The baby weighs at 7.10 pounds. He’s definitely a six-footer (cross fingers).  Baby girls out there watch out for my handsome nephew! He’s a heart-breaker, this one.

He is really so active too! Keeps moving and opening his eyes to see the surrounding.
 

1 day old 
 

It was an anxious wait for both my sister and her husband and of course our family. The baby was due on the 23rd but on that day he still doesn’t want to come out. I guess he was very comfortably cocooning in my sister’s belly LOL.

Sis wanted to have a natural birth instead of getting a C-section so she waited and on 25th midnight her water broke. All of us had a sleepless night including my sis because she didn’t give birth until 4pm the next day! That’s almost 15 hours after her first contraction!

We rushed to the hospital in the morning and waited and the waiting lounge, all the time looking at the clock and calling mom for updates since mom was in the delivery room. Then when i learned that the black puppy which happened to be loitering on the streets in front of our house had just been hit by a car and died (that’s another story which i’ll blog about later), i was like “Omg, omg, omfg! This is not a good sign, this is not a good sign… the puppy is dead and my sister’s baby won’t come out!!!”. Damn paranoid at that time.

But thank god everything turned out fine albeit the tough delivery – she haven’t eaten since the day before in case she had to have a C-section. I bet my sis was yelling profanity all the time she was pushing.

Kind of makes me even more terrified to have my own baby in the future. I’m not a kids-person myself nor is the boyfriend. It’s funny because the night we received the call from my mom saying my sister was going to give birth, i was a little bit excited but not really overwhelmed. The boyfriend and i agreed that if it was my Kobe giving birth to puppies, we’ll be more overjoyed. Fml. We are really cold, cold sickos.

Ok, but i love my nephew all the same so don’t judge me.
