Happy 53rd Merdeka to All Malaysians

Looks like Namewee is at it again. Launched himself into a whole lot of trouble yet again.

This is a lash back to the recent racial slur by a headmistress of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Selambau, Kedah.

I am surprised that there are still such backwards thinking people in Malaysia and especially surprised that these racial comments are uttered from the mouth of educationists; headmistresses at that – this case and another one concerning another headmistress from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra in Johor.

Are we still second class citizen in this country or what? Sigh… It’s racist like this that is pushing Malaysians away from the country to work abroad.

But let’s not fuel the situation any further. We all know that not all people think like that. The fact is we all have good friends from all different races and we get along just fine. So i say just ignore those hypocrites.

So, Happy Merdeka everyone.

Vaseline Hand & Nail Conditioning

Bought this exactly one month ago together with the Watson hand soap. It was kind of a new product on the shelve at that time.

My hands were extremely dry and my nails brittle and chip easily. I thought i’ll give this product a one month trial before doing a review about it.

Priced at RM8.90 for a 100ml bottle, the Vaseline Hand & Nail Conditioning definitely very affordable compared to the current Eubos hand cream i was using which is around RM23.00++ a tube.

I love the Eubos hand cream but it’s just too pricey to be used daily especially when i tend to wash my hands a lot so i need to re-apply the cream a few many times in a day.

Vaseline’s hand and nail conditioning contains Vitamin E that moistures and softens the hands, keratins that is essential to strengthens nails and olive essence to smoothen the hands and cuticles. It smells absolutely good too.

My hands are less dry and nails are chips and cracks less now. I noticed that my nails are harder and stronger and the tip of the cuticle is white color compared to before when it’s really soft and have an unhealthy transparent look.

The negative part is that it’s lotion base so it’s not as moisturizing as cream base hand treatment. It absorbs well but needs to be reapplied a few times in a day to keep the hands protected.

I don’t think this hand lotion is strong enough for those with very serious case of dry hands but then again if you’re an excessive hand washer like moi and is in a budget constraint, it’s not bad to invest in a affordable hand lotion like this Vaseline product for day use and another cream based hand treatment for use at night before going to bed.

Just a Question.

No. Actually make it a few instead.

I’ve just finished cleaning a soap dish. At 12.39am in the morning. Because i’m very cranky. When i’m cranky i clean.

Why do you already feel like you’re having menses for days but it’s not due yet? I mean i can practically feel in my abdomen ok!

Why do people do not get it when i already tak layan and put on a very stoned face whenever she/he talk to me? I mean i never once responded to the ONE way conversation!

Then why do the person (mentioned on the above sentence) thinks she/he is qualified to give out advice even though she/he is a big loser in life? I mean what gives you the right to tell me what to do when you have no achievement in your pathetic little life and i obviously ignores you every time i hear your stupid voice! If you count raising rats and harboring mosquitoes your life long achievement then here is another question for you: Are you suffering from brain damage or something?

Why do some people age gracefully but some become nagging machines like a tape recorder that has the rewind button on automatically? It’s not fair!

Why do some people eat so much but don’t gain an ounce and some eat so little but gain 10kgs? It’s so not fair!

Why do guys have the tendency to be late all the time and insist that they will just take a “few minutes” then ignores to tell you that they are running late after that? I mean, why can’t you just say you don’t know what time you will be here?

Do you think all women do is wait for your arrival? That i’ll drop everything i’m doing and run to you when you do? What if i live with a really big family e.g. 10 loony people in the house and i have to queue up to use the shower which means by the time i know you won’t make it i’ll only get to shower like at 3 in the morning!

Why do some people calls you again and again and again when there is a problem with the line which prevents you from having a proper conversation? I mean hello, it’s really annoying!

Why do some people call you when you are fed up with them and they talk like in slow motion with a lot of pause in the middle? I mean, why cannot talk faster? I mean, it’s so annoying that if i’m not fed up with you in the first place, i will be now!

Why do some people insist that you attend their wedding reception even though you barely keep in touch over the years and then get mad at you for not making it? I mean, it’s not like you have time to layan me during the dinner let alone notice that i’m there! I mean, if we are such best buddies in the first place then obviously i’ll definitely attend else if i really can’t, you would have understood why i couldn’t make it. If you are inviting me for the red packet, no problem i’ll mail it to you if you are so desperate.

What is it that when one thing goes wrong then everything else goes wrong?

I want to go to sleep desperately but i’m too cranky and my hair is wet! You know what i don’t even have a hair blower that works in this blardy sickening place!

FML. FML. FML.

But most of all FYL!!!

Oratane Side Effects

Oratane Side Effects

I’m on the 6th weeks of using Oratane. So far, so good. I’m very happy!

On the 4th week, my skin had already shown great improvement. I’m hoping by the end of the 8th week, my skin would be rid of whiteheads completely.

I’m surprised that quite a few people had asked me about my progress and whether i have any adverse effect of using Oratane. I guess there are lots of people who are in the same depressing situation.

Right now, i’m suffering from some side effects from taking the acne pills. For one, my lips had become extremely dry. Even though i had already expected it because my dermatologist had warned me about dry lips, it’s really a pain in the ass.

Since last week, my lips are cracked and chapped. Using the wrong lip balm makes it worst; it’s become a little swollen too. Now i’m using Vaseline Lip Essence that works great and of course drinking lots of water. In time, it’s more manageable.

My eyes are a little dry too. I can’t wear contact lenses for too long at a time. But it’s worth it for a better skin right?

For people with the same skin problem, i hear you and don’t give up!

Living Wall

Living Wall

Aren’t these the most gorgeous thing you’ve ever seen?

I accidentally watched this particular episode of Martha Stewart (accidentally because i don’t usually watch her show, she’s so robotic) and i fell in love with this concept of “living wall” or green wall as it is also known.

Isn’t it the prettiest thing ever??!! Gosh, i can’t stop gushing about it, it’s so beautiful!

There’s a section of the episode where Scott Hutcheon the landscaping guru teaches us how to build this but i can’t find it online. Doesn’t matter coz it’s fairly simple.

I love the Kirei board frame and the hidden hinges on top and bottom of the frame were you can open it up to install the irrigation tray on top and the  water drainer at the bottom. That’s like really cool.

The plants there in the Martha Stewart show are supposed to purify the air too. I love the big petal ones although i don’t know what type are those. I think i heard the guru said it’s a “petiveria” or something. I shall make it my life mission to hunt for that plant. LOL.

I wonder how much it’s going to cost for me to plant so many types of plants on the 20″x20″ panel. I really want this in my future house.

I’m already envisioning it hanging at multiple places within the house! But, i like it best at the dining room where i can enjoy my meal while watching it grow… well technically anyways.

My only concern is will it grow so huge and long that it would eventually droop down… then i would probably have to trim it all the time huh?

Geez, i’m becoming a domestic goddess, i am.

No photographs please!

No photographs please!

Gone are the days when Kobe would pose oh so willingly for the camera.

Like this.

She used to be such a poser diva dog. She would sit so still and wait for us to snap her awesome photos. I have so many picture perfect photos like this one on my desktop folder, i could sell it to the pets magazine and earn some $$$ for Kobe’s dog biscuit and toys fund!

But now… now, she not only won’t stay still for the camera, she fidgets and refuse to even look at the camera! Wtf.

See?

Every time i point the camera to her face she will turn her head facing elsewhere. Then when i put the camera down she will look at me.

I spent like 5 minutes trying to coach her for a photo but she just won’t look at me straight!

Here’s the final one where she’s peeping at me to see if i’m still holding the camera -_-”

Here’s one outside the gate. She just took a bath and i tied her to the gate to dry. And she still won’t look at me!

And finally only when i said the magic word “Kai kai!” (which means i’m taking her for a walk at the park) that she was willing to look at the camera. Smart bitch… will do anything for a walk.

We were at the park on the weekend morning and i thought we would try our luck again. Maybe she’ll be a little more obedient if we threatened not to release her from her harness at the park yeah.

You see, we always release her to run around at the park and when we don’t it’s like the end of the world for her.

And still… she won’t do it! Fml.

Finally, taaa daaaa!

Look at Kobe, don’t look at me. I do realize that i have the same pose and expression on both photos wtf but it’s not the same photo ok.

Err by the way that is not our car. Don’t know where’s the owner.

Throw in another photo of me taking Kobe for a short walk just because i think my legs looks good here hahahaha!

Watson Moisturizing Hand Soap

While some people have natural dry hands, others suffer from dry hands and brittle nails results of external factors such as climate, excessive hand washing and use of strong dish washer or detergent. Even usage of nail polishes might cause the layer of keratin that protects the skin and nails to deteriorate.

To protect the hands i try to use rubber gloves whenever i do washing but it’s not enough. I also experimented with hand creams and hand wash.

Instead of using normal soap which might be harsh on the skin, i am now using liquid hand soap with moisturizing elements.

Since i already am investing in a good hand cream, i try to be economical when purchasing hand washes. Watson carries its own brand of moisturizing hand soaps which cost only RM5.90 (500ml).

There are a few flavors available on the shelves; Lavender & Chamomile, Almond & Milk, Strawberry & Yogurt, White Tea & Ginger and Honey & Milk Extract.

I opted for the Honey and Milk Extract. The hand soap doesn’t lathers well at all but it smells really good. I like the milky texture and it boasts of containing vitamin E and vitamin B5 for nourishing and retaining the skin’s natural moisture balance.

While i doubt that the hand soap will heal my dry hands miraculously, the hand soap definitely leaves my hands soft and smooth after each wash. The nice fragrance lingers on the hands too.
