Buying Your Dream House

I don’t know how people do it. Purchasing a new property i mean.

How do people get a new house and still have money to dine at expensive restaurants, join in the mega sale frenzy, change mobile phones like changing undies and on top of that have the luxury to travel whole year round.

It sounds impossible but i see and hear people around me proving me wrong.

How do you do it?? Please tell me the secret! Pretty please, with a big lump of Royce chocolate on top?

We have not even begun looking for a house and yet thinking about buying one already made us live like paupers.

Like,

1) We no longer go out for movies in the weekend. Instead we buy illegal pirated DVDs and watch it at home instead. (Of course with a 42″ plasma we recently bought for a extremely good “discount” makes it less pathetic).

2) We no longer dine out during the weekend. Well, sometimes but maybe once or twice a month. Instead we tuck our dignities under the couch and be content taking on the parasite role dining at my mother’s place else we cook our rather miserly dinner at home.

3) Shopping is a rare treat nowadays. We even shunt sales, opting to pamper ourselves with just one item per month… errr… mostly the one item is my stuff lar because he’s sweet like that to sacrifice his share :P.

4) Buying skin care samples online instead of from the mall and feeling surprisingly happy about it. It’s really cost saving and you get the same thing with a lower price!

5) Auctioning used or un-used items (clothes, skin care, handbags, etc) online.

6) We dig into the big bottle of coins we used to stash extra change to buy snacks and pay for small stuff instead of just chucking it in the bottle or on top of the coffee table where it’ll go missing and forgotten.

After all these, i’m still thinking of ways to save more money for future down payment and renovation. So, tell me how do people do it?

.
.
.

How’s the World Cup doing? I have no idea. Right now, i’m just grinning to myself and chuckling because it annoys people that i always support the less popular teams in matches. It doesn’t matter that i don’t even know what’s going on. It’s just funny.

Estée Lauder – Advanced Night Repair Eye Recovery Complex

Here is the wonderful eye treatment that i promised i’ll write about. The Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Recovery Complex.

For one, it’s by far the best eye gel i’ve ever used. Even though the little bottle of eye gel is rather pricey (RM185.00 for 15ml) i’m the biggest fan because it really works.

The label says it

Repairs the eye area from past damage. A lightweight, eye serum-gel which works instantly to help repair past damages whilst protecting the delicate eye area from future damages. Anti-oxidants and lipids replenish the skin’s natural protectants.

Proven moisture barrier strengthens the skin to resist external aggressors and prevent damage from UV exposure. Boosts collagen to smooth fine lines, wrinkles, reduce puffiness and brighten dark circles.

I love the rich gel texture which when applied makes the eye area soft and smooth. It works great with eye concealer too – concealer really blend and glides well with the eye gel. I didn’t detect any fragrance so i guess it’s fragrance free.

I noticed the a dramatic difference 2 weeks after i start using the product. It definitely locks in moisture making the eye area smooth and fine lines were reduced. I very was impressed that the dark eye circle became less obvious too after just 2 weeks of application.

After finishing my first bottle i was rather perplexed; i was torn between continuing this range or trying another more affordable brand of eye treatment. I finally decided to try others but i still prefer this eye gel which i’m definitely going to continue using once my current brand empties! LOL.

P.s. : According to official Estée Lauder website, the original Advanced Night Repair Eye Recovery Complex had been replaced with a new formula and is now known as New Advanced Night Repair Eye Synchronized Complex. Not sure if it’s available in Malaysia yet as the Malaysian website is still offering the original product but i think i’ll be even more pricey.

Cluttered and Confused

Right now i have so many mixed feeling and thoughts floating my mind it seems to be so over-cluttered, i can’t think straight, physically i’m beaten.

Seriously, have you ever felt like there are so many things going on in your head that you try so hard to concentrate on one single thought for the sake of finding a solution at least to that particular problem among the many but right at the end your mind seems to trail off? It’s like your mind has broken into tiny pieces and fragments of it scattered all over the place lingering just for a moment at the spot before moving on to another…

Like you feel so many feelings all at once that it’s hard to distinguish whether you are sad, guilty, happy, angry, disappointed, frustrated, contented or anything for that matter. Have you ever felt so contented and happy for a moment then all of a sudden it just doesn’t matter anymore and you slip further down into gloomy oblivion just to feel frustrated about everything and everyone around you, then in an instance you are lifted as you chance upon small glimmer of hope so things doesn’t seem so hopeless after all?

By then anxiousness sets in, anticipation sets in and you brace yourself brace your heart for further disappointment and you can’t even recognize what you are feeling anymore.

Have you ever felt so overwhelmed with life that you began to wonder what the point of it all is and you feel that life is so tiring and troublesome?

I’m feeling like that now. Again the familiar tiny voice in my head appears like a long lost friend telling me things i’m afraid to hear, spinning me stories of hopelessness. Knocking on the skull of my head, making it throb with pain more often these days.

Clinique All About Eyes Rich

All About Eyes Rich by Clinique brand is the product that i purchased recently. Over the years i have tried quite a number of eye treatments, some i like and some… well, i don’t prefer.

I have actually found a particular eye gel that works wonders for me (which i’ll review on a later post) but i’ve decided to try this Clinique’s eye cream because it’s more economical at RM130 for 15ml.

All About Eyes Rich is supposed to,

“Moisture-rich eye cream diminishes the look of undereye circles, shadows, fine lines-instantly and over time. De-puffs, calms with botanicals. Helps boost natural collagen production. Strengthens skin’s moisture barrier against common irritants.”

There is another range by Clinique similarly named All About Eyes (minus the  word “Rich”) which i think the only difference i can conclude from reading the description is that it’s without the collagen boosting property. Both are cream based and both cost the same so obviously i picked the first one. LOL.

The ivory colored eye cream is creamy but not too greasy. Just a little is used to cover both eyes. It’s fragrance free, non-acnegenic and allergy tested although there’s a slight smell to it that i didn’t like. It might be because of the shea butter ingredient.

The cream absorb and dries very quickly but a little too quick i i think, living the eye area not as moist as i like when i apply concealer. Normally the concealer would glide smoothly on top of the eye treatment that i use but this particular cream did not.

I’ve used it for a month and fortunately there’s no sign of milia seeds around the eye area and it hydrates the eye. I am very concern about that whenever i use eye creams which is why i prefer eye gels.

I am disappointed though because even though the cream hydrates,  i didn’t see any obvious improvement on my dark eyes circle and  fine lines.

Really Outdated Photos

I’m aware that everyone is tired yet excited from the on going World Cup frenzy. Sad to say the boyfriend and i aren’t avid football fans.

Me myself is useless in football. I’m among those guilty of vouching for the team just because the have the best looking players. Haha! But as consolation, i did skip class and then last year rushed back early from work for the final World Cup match because i placed a bet i can’t afford to lose LOL.

I use to watch football every four years but heck this year i just couldn’t be bothered. Yet i feel tired all the same because of the people down at the mamak stall across the road, yelling “Goal” every time someone scores and from listening to Shakira’s “Waka Waka” song. It’s just too weird.

I totally dig vuvuzela though. Awesome! How can i get my hands on some???!

Anyhow, here are some of my really, really spider-web kinda outdated photos taken on the Bali trip that’s been sitting in my blog draft for like eternity. I took the opportunity to filter just a few nice ones.

Hada Labo SHA Moisturizing Lotion

This is one product that i will swear by.

Hada Labo SHA Moisturizing Lotion is like god sent.

Ok, i’m exaggerating but i seriously love this toner.

Formulated with Super Hyaluronic Acid it keep the skin hydrated and optimize the use of moisturizers.

Even on sentitive skin like mine, it’s proven not to clog pores and my face doesn’t become oily after using it. Of course i took some preventive measures by not using any moisturizer after i use this product so that my skin doesn’t become “over-hydrated”. I just wash my face and pat on the Hada Labo SHA Moisturizing Lotion in the morning and in the night.

I noticed that my skin no longer peel or feel flaky (from the use of acne products), instead it’s hydrated and definitely smoother compared to before.

One negative thing about this particular product is that the transparent liquid tends to be rather sticky but that’s just the actual texture of SHA. I’s a relief that it just take a small drop to cover the whole face and it’s not scented.

I’ve used it for 3 weeks already and i love it :).
