I’ve been wondering how my friends and other bloggers did it. The effects were really cool.
They had photos of them imprinted with special effects for example as posters in subways or banners on high rise buildings. There’s an application online which you could upload your photos to then your photo will be translated into the effects.
It’s the latest fad!
But it gets a tad boring because all my friends use the same effects.
I’ve been searching for a new site that has new photo effects to offer and I’ve found one that makes funny photo online.
The site is really user friendly. All you need to do is to choose an effect and upload your photos.
The result is amazing. It’s like you could photoshop pictures online but it’s much easier because all the photo effects are ready for use.
Better yet, the site offers different photo effects every single day. You can choose the effects according to dates. That means the you’ll be spoilt for choices!
I know Valentine’s Day is over but I didn’t get to celebrate the special day with the boyfriend so to make up for it, here’s a sweet photo of us.

Anyways with this application you could make funny pictures with photos. It’ll be a laugh at parties and you could even send it to a friend to cheer them up.
This is why people says i’m geeky and not girlish nor feminine enough for my own good… and is the reason why the boyfriend and i are so compatible. He’s 99% geek while i’m.. well 80% maybe?
Given a choice between a spanking new Coach bag or a new mobile phone, any other female would jump on the wagon and paddle to the nearest Coach store. But no! Geeky me spent a whole week contemplating the dilemma and still have not reach a decision.
Yes, i spent the whole CNY thinking about this very difficult choice. I was thinking about the phone and the bag while i dropped my chopsticks in the yee sang :P.

So, i posted the question on facebook and Patrick had super advise that goes something like
“You should get the Coach because phones are of no value unless your phone is really so obsolete so it doesn’t goes well with the new bag”
Great suggestion, no? The problem is both my phone and my bag is like super dinosaur-kindoff obsolete lor. So how?
Then i realized i still have a teeny weeny bit of bimbo sense in me when i decided to get a bag instead. That and because all the female member of my family and female friends has been whacking my head telling me how stupid i am not to get a Coach.
But guess what? Now that i had a look at the whole bag collection, i think i would rather get the phone. What the hell is so nice about Coach bags?!
So now it’s either the phone or this pretty thing Emma Watson is carrying on her shoulder.

Phew! CNY is almost over but i’m still in a holiday mood. I guess most of us are LOL. It’s really hard to press the power button to my laptop, it seems so long since i typed on the keyboard!
Yesterday was the big day for the Hokkien clan so we took the opportunity to catch Valentine’s Day at Cineleisure. So clever of the boyfriend *Clever boy!*.
The cineplex was quite empty and we got good seats too. Valentine’s Day was surprisingly rather good and enjoyable given that i rarely watch cheesy romantic comedies. Thank god this wasn’t cheesy at all and i laughed throughout the whole movie. Definitely recommended.
As for the CNY this year, i would say that it is one of the enjoyable ones… well it was better than last year anyways. Yes, definitely.
Everyone was was in a super good mood because mom was getting well and we got over the cancer scare. But i suspect mostly it was because we successfully avoided some really nosy good-for-nothing relatives for most days.
What is it with relatives that back stabs you whenever they get the opportunity but comes in throngs to your house during CNY smiling like idiots?? Those relatives, i can live without.
And, and i’ve been only asked once “When are you getting married??” this year which is like a whole new record. I’m really happy *wakakakaka! I guess everyone got tired of asking already :P.
I was telling the boyfriend of how CNY is actually making us poorer and it’s a really sad occasion. Really it is.
I’m not being a grouch but first you become broke from buying all the new clothes (shirts, pants skirt, bag, panties, bra….etc) then you become even more broke by giving part of your hard earned bonus to your parents and siblings and grandparents then you gain a few pounds from all the Shandy and beer and cookies so you become so fat and depress. Don’t even kid yourself that you will get lots of angpows because it won’t even cover your expenses.
CNY is really for kids and old people. They get the most of it don’t they? Hmmm….
Ok, i’m going to stop being a grouch now.
Well, this year we took super lots of photos thanks to my second elder sis whose like totally a camwhore queen. But i won’t post it today because there are some missing and i have to wait for eternity for her to send them over.

The year of the Tiger has proved to be a challenging one. We’ve just crossed the line from the Ox to the Tiger, yet i’ve been in a state of frenzy already.
I’ve been so effing busy running around being a full time nurse to my mom (it’s a long long story which i will get to that eventually next time) that i have a new respect for housewives everywhere. I constantly murmur FML every few minutes in a day. I don’t even have time to read the newspaper let alone blogging. How the f*ck does these women do it??! (Excuse the language please).
For all the people out there, for Mother’s Day this year all you need to do is to give your mom a day off from the cooking and cleaning and whatever else mothers do. Send her to a spa… or chauffeur her to a hotel for a stay. I tell you that’s the best gift you can give her coz being a full time housewife can drive you crazy. God knows that’s what i want from my future kids… erm in the future.
As for the roaring new year, i wish everyone a very prosperous and peaceful one. I’ll have to wait and see what else the big cat will bring me. Hopefully i’ll survive unscratched haha.
