Looks like the silent war between MAS and Air Asia had just turned up another notch. Did you read this in the papers today?
The war of words between Air Asia and Malaysia Airlines seems to have moved to a personal level with the latter terminating discount benefits for the former’s group chief executive officer Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes. -taken from thestar.com.my-
I can see where this action comes from but seriously Datuk Seri Idris Jala (MAS managing director) is not doing any good to his image. It’ll only make him look like a sour grape. He might just as well throw a tantrum and sulk in front of national TV because he fell and hurt his knees on the playground.
Tony Fernandes is not an angel to begin with.

Yeah right. So, what’s with the huge advertisements comparing Air Asia and Mas fees plastered all over the papers? Oh well, at least he’s playing smart. He’s coming up with some pretty original plans for Air Asia and most important he’s not getting all personal and screaming foul play in front of the public.
Frankly speaking like i said before, i don’t think anyone cares (except for the people in the airlines of course) about this MAS vs. Air Asia battle. Just as long as there are cheap flights for all. That say i’m still supporting Air Asia coz it’s still a better deal.

Why Tony quote so? LOL silly man. He should have said he “enjoyed” not “preferred” it seem he is not happy with his own airlines, Crazy! or Thestar have misinterpret Tony’s statement.

wah this tony sure know how twist words putar belit serong. de fella forgot he complain Mas give low fares accusing ppl competition low cost everythin ah? some more on tv de fella challenge Mas to debate public. kelakar… now he copy cat ppl want to be 5 star airline like Mas. aiyah busness competition , competition la. why act like a kid complain abt everything. but very good la both Airasia n Mas fight we get better deals.
so far i never c RM0 fare in MAS website, seem all cheap fare been sold out, so unbelievable.
So at the moment, still prefer AirAsia, even their service not as gd as MAS, but acceptable.

Hi amei79, as what I know, RM0 was just a promotion… Everyday Low Fares is like everyday you can book cheaper than normal price ticket. I think it’s worth to check their bargains every day
i am all games for more airlines competition… let them have their say (they like publicity), and we like discounts :) (btw mas fair which just ended a few days back was sooo good – but i just couldnt confirm timings) hmm. next time haha
