Petrol Just Gone Up To RM2.70

So much for the denial and speculation on the petrol price. According to the Chinese newspaper and apparently Pak Lah, petrol price in Malaysia had just gone up from RM1.92 to RM2.70. That’s almost 50% increase in one shot. That’s absurd considering our standard of living is increasing but wages are still stagnant.

I guess will just have to eat grass from now on or walk to work or school or wherever else. Maybe even barefooted if the petrol price in Malaysia keeps increasing in 2008… i sure won’t be able to afford a pair of shoes by then.

And what’s this news about hike in electricity by July?!

Note to myself. Stack up on candles.

Bangkok to Chiang Mai in 15 Hours

6 months plus more to go for my Bangkok > Chiang Mai trip and i’m already getting all hyped about it. Mr. Bf suggested we take the train from Bangkok up to Chiang Mai and i agreed. So, i only bought the flight ticket to Bangkok and return ticket from Chiang Mai. I’m so ignorant to have thought that the journey would the most take a few hours give and take.

My puppy paw on the globe

Actually it’s gonna take about 13 to 15 hours depending on the coach class. That’s a friggin’ long journey stuffed up in a train. I have no idea why he loves taking trains. All i see is trees, trees and more trees.

But to see this?

It might be worth it.
