Nargis Cyclone Vs. Junta – Which Is Worst?

Everyday i would check out the news about the disaster in Myanmar. Everyday i would get frustrated and angry reading about the poor victims of Nargis cyclone receiving no help from the junta. With the death toll raising (28,00 yesterday) and about 1.5 million people at risk of death, the military is still reluctant to allow help from foreign experts.

Myanmar people is already in deep trouble before the cyclone, now they are even worst off. The people are starving but the military is still exporting rice by the truck load to foreign countries. Countries like the U.S have to force their way in to provide help. It’s so sick it’s almost funny. They are sitting on top of their filty pile of money watching the people die.

Personally, i doubt that all the donations and aids are going to benefit the Myanmar people. I don’t trust the government with the money or the aid. Someone should give the general a tight slap.

“Wake up you idiot!Your so call road to democracy is going no where. People are not fooled! The money and your country’s resource would run out one day you blardy idiot! “.

Arghhhh… i’m so frustrated. It’s not the cyclone now, it’s the negligence of the military that is causing the major catastrophe.

I feel really sad, but there is nothing can be done. Even the monks’ protest failed to have much impact on the Junta.

I donate some money through an organization. The money would be channeled directly to a Buddhist monk, so there is no worry or misappropriation.

its neither negligence or was there any democracy in burma. the army just couldn’t care less. food going into burma is being taken by the army to feed their immediate family or relatives or cronies (as usual)

khengsiong>> if it goes right straight to the monks then we have less to worried right…sigh…

johnny>> i know i know. their road to democracy 2010 is just full of crap. it’s crazy over there. all we can do is just hope for the best.
