I’m such a late boomer at these $ making from blogging, PayPal accounts and debit cards. The idea of making $ thrills me but the process of actually getting the moolah out really petrifies me. Actually anything dealing with banks… i hate *mah mah fan fan.

However, after finally earning a little i’ve decided to try withdrawing from PayPal *i’m not telling you how much is in my account so don’t ask :P. Since i’ve read quite a lot of negative comments on Public’s Electron Debit Card, i opted for Al Rajhi’s Debit Card instead. True to what i read, the service was darn fast.

I got myself to the Kota Damansara branch, there were no customer at all except for BlurryHunniee and i. Depositing RM200 each, we both opened our savings accounts and got our debit cards in just 10 minutes! *we took out the RM200 from the account immediately wakakaka! Just bring your I/C along for processing. Also be sure to activate the Internet Pin within 3 days, coz it’ll expire after that. If that happens like what happened to moronic me, you’ll need to go all the way to Al Rajhi‘s ATM to get a new pin.

BlurryHunniee had problem while adding the new card into her PayPal. This error message was on the screen:-

“We were unable to verify this credit card. Please check if the information you entered is correct. If the problem persists, please try to enter a different credit card.”

She’s still studying and do not have a credit card. Apparently, you need to add a credit card and have it verified under the Expended Use program before adding this second debit card. So too bad. I guess she’ll have to wait till she gets a credit card then.

As for me, i already had my credit card added last month. I tried to add this debit card into my PayPal account but encountered this error:

“This credit card has been denied by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer’s customer service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card.”

Don’t panic. It turned out that PayPal will automatically charge RM1 from the debit card accoun. Since my account have a zero balance i need to transfer money into the account before PayPal could process the debit card. I had it done and my card had been verified successfully.

I’m still considering cashing out my earnings from PayPal. The USD exchange rates are so darn low. From 3.6 a few months ago to 3.1 now. That’s few hundred down the drain.
