A guy friend of a friend of a friend of mine doesn’t care much about Valentine’s Day. Actually he and his girlfriend don’t celebrate it at all. According to him everyday is a Valentine’s Day.
“Why do we have to have a specific day to show how much you love or care about your other half? Does it mean that any other day besides Valentine’s Day, you could ignore and treat your girlfriend like dirt?”
An ex-colleague of mine has the same perception.
“I’d rather use the money spent on Valentine’s Day (the things are darn expensive when that day is coming) to travel all the way to Cameron Highlands and load up my car trunk full fresh inexpensive red roses. Then i’ll drive to my girlfriend’s house for a romantic rendezvous on any other day.”

In fact, most of the guys i know are either not interested or reluctant to celebrate this occasion. I kinda agree with what they said coz it made sense and it’s logical but it got me thinking for bit. Why do we girls insist on being pampered to death on this special day?

Because we female are emotional, tender and sensitive species that’s why. Because we female loves attention but lacks confidence (most of us anyways), that’s why. Girls, don’t get me wrong. I don’t mean it in a bad way. It’s only natural. We are from Venus, men are from Mars. Guys love all those qualities in us. If we’re not all those then we would be… men. *ewwww!
Aww..
Every once in a while we get insecure and unsure. It would be great to get some assurance and be pampered. There’s nothing better than a cozy-just-the-two-of-us time together and getting showered with gifts no matter how inexpensive it is. *sigh…. It’s just a sign of appreciation and who knows it will even strengthen the relationship.
Here’s something dedicated to the dearest male in our life…
