I was feeling pretty heroic that instance i saw the gigantic statue statue of Lord Murugan – The God of War.

The Grand Statue

It took 3 years to construct this huge statue – launched in 2006.

I didn’t know that there were 272 steps in all.

I remember when i was a kid i thought it was a thousand or so steps coz it took me forever to reach… *ei not coz i am lousy alright?! coz i was afraid of heights… Then, it took me forever to come down too… coz my legs were shaking and i thought the monkeys were making fun of me.

I also have no idea there were another cave called Gua Gelap or something. Judging by the name i guess the cave is damn dark. I can’t even see anything from here. Just darkness.

I think i need to climb Batu Caves alot more times before deciding on the trip to Mount. Kinabalu… or just go to the gym and risk looking like a buffalo sweating mad woman amongst the super hawt tai-tais with super ‘in’ hairdos who never seems to perspire on the treadmill.
