We were so smart. We drove to the Lake Gardens… and we got a parking space! *wakaka
Thank god we didn’t take the public transport coz it would be dead tiring to go home packed like a sardine in the lrt or bus. Anyway, i was damn hungry on the way there. I couldn’t wait for the free bananas and milo.
We got there just on time for the Fitness First warming up session. *woo hoo! i love aerobics! The place was so darn crowded. I think this year’s turnout was quite successful. I’m not sure whether the amount of people was more than last year’s but there were definitely alot of Malaysians compared to the year before. ( i heard that 70% of last year’s crowd was ang mohs). Way to go Malaysians!

Fresh and hungry for the run
For a minute i forgot about the bananas and milo. I was busy laughing at EatAllYouCanShung coz he couldn’t do aerobics! He couldn’t coordinate his clumsy chicken legs *muahahahaha! I pity the ang moh family behind us. I was laughing like orang gile kena sawan and moving to the aerobic beat at the same time. I think they were having a hard time not bumping into me from behind.
Points and laugh at EatAllYouCanShung! … hmmm i am ugly like a witch
The aerobic was great fun coz everyone was a great sport, keeping up to the beat; Malaysians and non-Malaysians. Cool! Got our adrenaline pumping. But it was such an anti-climax when they put on the belly-dance-indian-dance kinda moves…

I must say, it’s such a shame that they held this event at the Lake Gardens. The path is not big enough for the massive crowd. So those who wanted to run or jog had a hard time. Some got stuck behind the many walkers. There wasn’t even enough space for kids on bicycles, roller-bladders or parents pushing their baby prams.
Go go go! Run run …. walk?

Needless to say we walked most of journey to the finish point. *i’m old lar! But we didn’t take the short cut like many did. Instead we miraculously took the long way which i later regret. Why? Coz when the volunteers along the path were being cheerleaders cheering us to run, we didn’t want to let them down, we ran up the bloody slope! While BlurryHunniee zoomed ahead, i lasted i think not even 5 minutes resulting in difficult breathing. Thank god i didn’t have leg cramps. *sigh… i’m so auntie!
Now i really salute Terry!

I am definitely going for next year’s run if there is any. To support this wonderful and meaningful event… and to claim my banana and milo coz when we got to the milo truck, they ran out of milo! WTF!! Hey, did i mentioned we saw the great KennySia there. EatAllYouCanShung wanted to ask him a favor… to help us take our photos hahahahahah!
