life as slow as it gets

Posted by slowcatchupkuan On November - 19 - 2007

Ever since ShirleyBaloney told me she went to our deteriorating zoo and saw monkeys with pus oozing from their butts, i was dying for a visit myself. I don’t mean that i’m a psycho pus addict or an animal activist… uhm i don’t really fancy monkey arse either… but as a child i loved my annual family trip to the zoo. *kids ma… see grass also excited wan lor.

It’s been like 15 years since my last visit. So, i went to the zoo yesterday to check out the conditions now and… also to look for any photo evidence of apes with butt pus muahahaha!

zooparking
Full parking??!!! Wtf?!! People have nothing better to do on weekends is it?

There were limited parking spaces available. Almost all space were taken. And here i thought, no one would go to the zoo nowadays… hmmm… i was wrong. Lotsa kids and family, foreigners, couples pak toh-ing and of course people who don’t have nothing better to do like me *wakaka.

signboard
What’s there to see?

I had no idea that the ticket was going to be so damn expensive. I remember it used to be few RM per person. Now it’s RM15 per adult.

zoomap
Map to animal kingdom

First few stops were familiar coz there were the usual animals like giraffes, elephants, peacocks etc etc. Just like old times but with better structured enclosures and more animals.

giraffegiraffelick
Giraffes… Gosh look at the tougue! Friggin’ long :S

elephant
I love elephants

The place was friggin’ pack with these birds! It was like another episode of Invaders. I had no idea what species are they. Some kinda stork or something. I was damn afraid of them dropping bird-bomb on my head or pecking me but their not afraid of me -_-”. They are everywhere.

If you’re lucky enough you could see them catching fishes thrown into the lakes by the zoo attendants.

birdducklike
Birdy don’t bomb me please!

vulturelike
The right one freakingly resembles vulture. Thank god it’s just an old hag of a stork…

There was a small wallaby inside the emus enclosure. A smaller version of Aussie’s kangaroo.

emu
Emus… tasty emus

horrordeerrudolphdeer
Scary dears… errr i mean deers

Oh hey! I cought some butt licking sessions *woo hoo!

buttkisskancil
Hmmm… Sang Kancil, wangi-nyerrrrr buntut you

buttkissdeer
Hmmm…. aik why no milk dear?

My first time seeing a real life lion! Mom and dad forbade us going to the carnivore sections when we were kids. Afraid we might accidentally climb in or fall in or whatever -_-”

Forgive him for not looking his best. It was right after the rain. No time to comb hair.

lionroaring
I need a blow dry! … Wall’s sponsor me a hair-dryer please

tigerroarmaybank
Guess who’s my sponsor? … Maybank. Duh!

I loved the leopard. The fact that it was not in those water enclosed parks but in a cage was even better. Coz it was just in front of me. I could put my hand in and pet it… and risk loosing a finger or 2 maybe.

leopard
Don’t hate me coz i’m beautiful

buffaloostrich
BuffaloBill: Pheweet!! Mooooooo!!!!! MissHaughtyTotty: Ceh… get a life ler!

There were a flock of ostriches looking all high-classy-your-highness-like.

I was laughing like hell when i saw this one. Chicken bumps on the arse muahahaha!

ostrichbumps
Look properly. Buntut botak. All feathers fell off liao.

This was the best part. The scene was really cool coz it looks like a safari with ostriches, zebras, giraffes and rhinos wondering freely on the field. Too bad it’s not maintained properly as the same with the rest of the poorly maintained enclosures within the zoo :(

zebrawhiterhinos
Nice nice

Look who sponsored the camel enclosure.

camel
Who you looking at?!!! @^#*$#$&#!!

So far, in this episode we saw no sign of butt pus or butt cancer. There were some deers caught in the act, a bald arse ostrich, a diseased-infected looking camel (not the one above), and some tongue exercise from the giraffe… Yep, i’m pretty sure there’s no pus involved.
