Yes, I Was Talking About Advertlets


For those who had read my previous entry, you would know what i am talking about. Those who didn’t, please CLICK HERE.

Initially i did not want to mention the company’s name but i found out that many others had the same problems with Advertlets. People had been emailing me asking me to post up the email. So here it is (i had edited it but the original content is still intact).

EMAIL NO. 1 (auto-reply from Advertlets‘ support centre)

After few days and still no reply, i had filled in the contact form on the contact page asking for assistance.

After another 1 week and still no response whatsoever.

EMAIL NO. 2 (According to Adverlets, i could contact Josh (the CEO) personally)

Hi Josh,

This msg was on my earnings page:
“Your account cash out function has been disabled! Please contact our support team for further information, thank you.”

May i know what happened? Actually i had submitted a ticket to Advertlets support page on 14th Nov and another email to your support few days ago but there’s no news at all from your side. I’m hoping you can help me out here. Thanks.

To whoever this may concern,

I am very frustrated with advertlets right now. I had been trying to get your advice since 2 weeks ago but to no avail. There is no feedback or response from your side AT ALL.

My cashout function had been disabled 2 weeks ago and i had submitted a ticket through your support centre for advice but after 1 week there is still no response. Then i had filled in the ‘contact us’ form but again no response. Then i had emailed to Josh Lim and again NO RESPONSE!

Frankly speaking i am quite disappointed in your customer service. In any case that you have a problem or need time to investigate my problem, you should have inform me so i wouldn’t be waiting wondering what happened….

We do not disable cash out functions for no reason. The only reason the system would have automatically disabled your account is because:- You have been clicking on your own ads more than 200 times!

You should worry less about advertising for free…than say, facing legal action. We will consider whether or not to ban your account permanently (do you have anything to say?), but either way, you will not be compensated for fraudulent
earnings. Frankly, we’re disappointed too.

After receiving that email, i my blood level went up like nobody’s business. I replied in an equally rude manner which i am not going to post here. It’s too darn long.

I do not expect everyone to drop from Advertlets after reading this coz the fact is there are lotsa people earning from the ads. However, i am quite frustrated to learn that i am not the only person that had suffered from their ridiculous customer service. What is the point of setting up a support centre and asking users to email to them when they do not answer? *i wonder do they always ignore customers’ email without telling them why?

What more is to be accused of cheating. *puh leez! I am not so free as to click on it 200 times! I am also not stupid coz if i did cheat i wouldn’t go and complaint to you. This coming from a CEO is blardy rude.

The fact that Advertlets system has bugs and the stats are not accurate is widely known. I’m pretty sure that Advertlets caters for I.E. while most of us users are using Firefox. Meaning when someone click on the Advertlets ads and then click ‘Backspace‘ it will auto go back to the ads generating 2 clicks instead of one. If some ignorant person keeps clicking the ‘Backspace‘ wondering why it’s not going back then that person is in a hell lot of trouble.

I had dropped the Advertlets ads from my blog immediately after receiving the rude email. Btw, i had just checked my Adverlets account, it’s generating impressions even though i had removed the ads. *WTF?!! and they’re accusing me of fraud?!

For those who had not cashed out yet, please take note that i only found out these problems after i submitted for cash-out. So, my advice is to test out the cash-out function right after you reach your RM100 target.

I can tolerate bad service to certain extend but to tolerate someone who doesn’t own up to his fault i can’t.
