Purple Cane Tea Restaurant Rox

I’m too sick to write anything that will use up my brain juice, so instead i’m gonna post this food thingy that i had drafted earlier

.
.
.

Purple Cane Tea Restaurant rox my sox. It floats my boat. It rules my world. It… it… it… it made me say silly exaggerated things that makes me sound lil’ looney baloony.

Purple Cane Tea Restaurant

I’ve been dying to visit the Purple Cane Tea Restaurant at Jalan Maharajalela since forever. Actually I went there once, but didn’t go in coz there were a bunch of noisy aunties standing at the entrance. I think they were having some auntie gathering or something so… uhm… no thank you! I had since then completely forgotten about it till recently when a new branch opened at The Gardens, Midvalley. *woo hoo!

teapot
Nice clay pot… also available for purchase :P

Purple Cane is really awesome coz they serve something different from conventional Chinese cuisines. I really love the idea of dishes prepared using tea or tea leaves. I imagined that it will be more aromatic and fine tasting.

buer
Bu er

Being a tea house originally, it’s no surprise that they have an extensive choice of teas to choose from. We had ‘bu er’ tea coz it’s better for the stupid-gastric-infested tummy of mine. Eventhough they had served us our pot of tea, they gave us a mini sample of other tea which is available for purchase. *very good sales promoter haha

Green Tea Rice

I can honestly tell you that the food at Purple Cane is awfully good and less oily. It may not look like anything out of the ordinary but do not judge the book by its cover. Tea really brings out the flavor of every dish in the house.

4season
Vegetable 4 in 1 cooked with pickle (long beans, petai, lady fingers, brinjal)

I’m not going to describe the dishes coz it would serve no justice but i particularly liked the ‘Vegetable 4 in 1 cooked with pickle’ dish coz the shredded pickle is really crunchy.

winechicken
Tea Wine Chicken – huge mushroom and chicken

When we ordered our food, we had no idea that it will be this much. The portion is quite big. I think 2 dishes are sufficient for 2 persons.

egg
Herbal steamed egg

I love this restaurant to bits. The fact that the service was extremely good and the crew was very efficient plus incredibly polite gets another star from me. We didn’t have to wait long for our food despite the crowd. And i loved it when the staff asked for our comments before we walk out of the restaurant. It made me feel that my say counts *eventhough if he’s just asking out of politeness :P

Bu er Tea (2 persons) – RM4.00
Herbal Steamed Egg – RM7.00
Vegetable 4 in 1 with Pickle – RM15.00
Tea Wine Chicken – RM18.00
Green Tea Rice (2 persons) – RM2.00

Tagged… again. My tips on the bottom of the list in case any insane people wants to know.

Tagged! Shopping Tips!
(tagged by BlurryHunniee)

1. Wear comfy clothing when you’re shopping. You don’t wanna fuss with too many laces and buttons when you’re trying clothes on.

http://rinnah-marketplace.blogspot.com/

2. Never shop on an empty stomach. You end up buying a whole lot more than you meant to! And this applies to everything, not just food!

3. Make a list of what you need to buy and stick to it. Do not go browsing in the store and do not look left or right but focus on just getting what you came to the store for, get it, pay for it and get out! And always keep your receipt in case you change your mind, not happy or the item is broken due to manufacturer’s fault so it will be covered by warranty!

4. Remember to bring your ‘plastics’ and/or cash with you when you go shopping or when you plan to JUST window shop!

5. Before you buy something expensive, ask yourself, “Is this a NEED or a WANT?”. If you can’t stop thinking about it for three whole days and nights, it is definitely a NEED, so go ahead and buy it. If you can get someone else to buy it for you as a gift, it’s even better.

6. I always use this same question on myself: “Will I use this more than 3 times?” Yes – buy, No – put back. And don’t fuss after you put it back, coz it will really sound like (crying over) spilled milk.

7. Shopping for clothes: If you feel like the cloth that you try on make you feel pretty, curvier, comfortable, sexier or whatsoever, then buy it.
No hesitation. It’s difficult to get clothes that will make you feel really “good” unless you have great figure and can just grab anything you like.
Food: Go for quality food. ‘Live to eat’ and not ‘eat to live’. But gurls, control ya!!!
Shoes: Best time to buy them is after you have a long walk in the mall, most probably late afternoon or evening. Your feet will be ‘expanded’ by that time. Gurls, go for wedges. Good stability, provide you with the height and you can just walk for hours without pain.

8. Always goes shopping with someone who has the same taste that you’re confident in. This is to save time and to be able to get second opinion directly if you needed it. Then you won’t need to forgo anything that you like just to go home and ask for the opinion and get back to the mall just to find that the item has already been sold.
As for food, if you’re taking public transport, remember not to buy food that could end up like mashed potatoes. Unless you like your food that way =S

9. They are getting richer by doing a simple trick… Magic mirrors and dim lights! The mirrors and lighting in fitting rooms are always adjusted to make anyone looks slimmer. Yeah! Now you know why you look like a diva at the mall but a whale at home. So, try the piece on and strut your stuff OUTSIDE the fitting room to get a clearer view.

Oh yeah, one more thing. Don’t trust the sales promoter. They just want you to buy. Even if it makes you look like a giant hippo.

Not tagging anyone again… coz hell, i don’t wanna know anyone’s tip on shopping! Shopping = evil! Don’t tempt me any further!!
